Dark elbow skin, what will dermatologist do?
The skin on my elbow is very dark compared to the rest of my body. Its bothered me for a while now and i want to clear it up. Ive tried Lemon, Scrubbing, Lotion, and nothing has worked, Im going to see my Dermo next week, what if anything can he do? Will a skin bleacher work, ive found some online. another good product which is also cheap, is all of the Biore products.
I have been using biore for a couple of years now, and it has been amazing for me.
Just check out there stuff, and I'm sure you will find something out there that fits your personal needs for acne,pimples,blackheads,etc!

You can but baking soda is very good for getting rid or black heads and other oils and grim that cause pimples. Just mix water with baking soda to form a gritty paste. Put all over your face and let sit for like 20 min and then rinse off. For oily and blotchy spots use a cucumber cream and black tea mask.

Hmmm...this a couple part thing here. Dermatologists work to find the right prescription treatment for your particular type of acne (there are many different types). They will try certain things until they come up with a combination that works.
For the scarring, the same thing. Usually it is going to involve a product called Retinol (Retin-A) and some time to clear the scarring up, but it is a very good product.
The bottom line is...they know what they're doing and the cost isn't so bad that you should deal with acne any longer than you have to.

EDIT: Arghhh. Please don't blanket statement ALL dermatologists by saying they are paid to represent certain products. It is flat out not true. As doctors, they have the ability to choose what products to use and the good ones (my mom) will do what's best for her patients instead of taking some $15 rip from a new product. Get some references of good ones and try them out. Your problem may honestly be as simple as grabbing some OTC medication for it, or it may not but it doesn't hurt to do a consult.Dermatologist? what do they do to get rid of acne ??help?
Well, to get rid of acne they're going to tell you to cleanse, tone, and moisturize with a day and night moisturizer as well as a once weekly treatment. You don't have to spend a fortune. I think in your country, it would cost about 拢40.00 to get completely set up. You don't have to spend a fortune, but you will need to get products. I work with quite a few skin care lines and know a lot about others. If you want, you can email me and I can give you a list of possible suggestions before you go and spend too much on a dermatologist. Remember that they are being paid to represent certain brands and will push these on you, whether or not they are the right brands. I have literally tried every acne product out there, including a couple over the counter medications and still nothing has worked and i don't think birth control will help considering that my skin is bad no matter what. You might want to go and talk to your derm. and ask what would be the best treatment for you and tell him/her that you would like to take a pill daily to reduce it - and they should work with you.

My skin started to clear up after about a month, even more so after 3 months and after 6 months, I realized that I hadn't had a pimple in a while. Now my face is totally clear and I might get one small pimple every once in a while, but it's so minor, I don't even care. I didn't think anything would ever work for me, but it really did. I use it exactly as prescribed. I also use the Neutrogena at-home microdermabrasion kit a few times a week. This helps get rid of dry/dead skin cells, which keeps your pores from clogging.

-Try not to touch your face with your fingers
-Exercise
-Wash your face no more than twice a day with a mild to strong soap. use soap that is made for severe acne.
-After you wash apply a blemish spot treatment (clearsil ultra works the best) to the affected areas
-For big pimples, ice will reduce the swelling
-a dab of tooth paste will also reduce the size of pimples over night
-Eye medication will take redness our of big pimples for a little bit.
My step son has really bad acne, and the dermatologist has given him accutane and it has really helped. He has to take it everyday, and for a specified amount of time. This is suppose to dry up the oil glands in the face, and that helps cut down on the acne. So go talk to your dermatologist and see what they have to say. They also have a topical gel that works great that's called Clindagel. Good Luck!!

I believe it's only prescribed as a last resort for those with really serious acne.
Regardless of the method you choose, I'd recommend washing your face once a day with a glycolic cleanser, such as Serious Skin Care's version. This will help clear your pores but won't dry out your skin.

First you want to go to college for 4 years and get a bachelors. You want to maintain at least a 3.6 GPA and your Junior year you take the MCATS which you should aim for a 30+.
Then you apply to medical school and if you get in its 4 more years. The first 2 years are all book work and then the next 2 are clinical rotations.
YOU Basically have to be number 1 or number 2 in medical school to even get a shot at dermatology residency.
If youve made it this far, its another 4 years. You work anywhere from 80-110 hours a week. And you only make 40k a year.What should be my high-educational route if i want to be a dermatologist?
