do you think i should get a consultation, im only 18 years old, and considering it but im worried if there is going to be any side effects because im farily young.I'm considering spa microdermabrasion, is it necessary to get a dermatologist consultation.?
I doubt your age is a factor. Other things like rosacea and othere conditions would be a factor. Why are you having it at your age? It's for wrinkles.I'm considering spa microdermabrasion, is it necessary to get a dermatologist consultation.?
Go to a doctor that is a dermatologist first...I mean and M.D. Then they will tell you what treatment is best for your skin type. You want an expert in the field not just someone that went to beauty school. Good Luck.....a girlfriend of mine did this and her skin looks beautiful....she is 27 though. So because you are younger be careful
Yes, I believe you should see a doctor first. And not only because of your age (18 is a good age for microderma), but because this proceduer has some contraindications that must be ruled out by the doctor (like undiagnosed lesions, auto immune diseases, diabetes, psoriazis, lupus). If you have microderma on one of these contraindications, the side effects might be the worsening of your condition, permanent pigmentation problems, local infections and even scarring.

Please see a doctor.
