[looking for advice] -- Should I see a Dermatologist?

Okay, I've taken Proactiv for about 5 weeks now. I haven't seen a big improvement. At times, my face looks clearer, but for the most part it doesn't. And according to some people, it just looks completely worse. So Now, I'm considering visiting a dermatologist. Should I visit them, or wait out the process of Proactiv?[looking for advice] -- Should I see a Dermatologist?
First of all i ve to ask u why u take proactive, for treatin acne or something else, and whom advise u to take that ur self or ur G.P ....if u have acne and wanna treat that its better if u go to a dermatologist cuz we have many kind of acne and every one of them has his own treatment and drug....

Good luck[looking for advice] -- Should I see a Dermatologist?
you have too see your local gp(doctor)who will then refer you to see a dermatologist

good luck
Proactiv never helped for me. You should go to your doctor and have him/her recommend a dermatologist. I had really bad acne and my doctor recommended me to a dermatologist. I got on a medication called Accutane. It is VERY strong, but it worked great! Mention it to your doctor and see what he/she has to say. Good luck!
Proactiv is snake oil. It will do mostly nothing for you.

You should go see a dermatologist. There are a whole bunch of things that could actually help you that a dermatologist could recommend. In the worst cases, he might treat you with Accutane. Although it has its risks, it is very effective. A friend of mine who had very bad acne all her life, got treated with this at age 32. Her acne completely and permanently disappeared.
If you suffer from acne severe you should take oral antibiotics like doxycycline or minocycline along with topical treatment. It is better to consult a dermatologist.
Rather than waiting time over asking here. Rush to a specialist or dermatologist coz they only cant treat it better than asking medcines out here. Never be late to reach doctor or else they say...sorry its too late...!

get well soon.
