How would a dermatologist treat ';skin tags?

what are skin tags caused by, are they a sign of cancer? How would a dermatologist treat ';skin tags?
Skin tags are common and are not cancerous. They can be removed by the following methods

1. applying liquid nitrogen (cryotherapy)

2. burning them with electriocautery

3. tying a cotton thread at their base and leaving them to shrivel offHow would a dermatologist treat ';skin tags?
skin tags are normal and are not remotely related to cancer

treatment is to freeze them off using liquid nitrogen. usually the dr can treat a few at once. i saw a patient once who had loads on her neck, she was coming in every week to have another 6 or 7 frozen off.

no sign of cancer as far as i no but they get them of with the ice stuff that is really hot lol if you only have a few of them ..... they burn each one of individually...... if you have lots they get a spray that burns them off they spray that spot in about 24 hours they could come off =]... hope i helped!
tie a piece of cotton around the end closest to your body and it will drop off after a few days, as the cotton know stops the flow of blood.
i just pull mine off :P

seriously lol
