For people who have been to a dermatologist, quick question...?

I went to a dermatologist about 3 weeks ago for my back, chest and face acne and he prescribed some acne medicine, one I use in the shower, oral medication, and a gel I put on at night. I've noticed that my acne has been getting even worse than before. Is this normal? Should I call my dermatologist? For people who have been to a dermatologist, quick question...?
Normally it ALWAYS gets worse before it gets better. See it out for a few more weeks and hopefully you will start to see an improvement. For people who have been to a dermatologist, quick question...?
YES

Definatley call them and tell them of your experience. You could be reacting to the medication in different ways then anticipated for more than one reason.

A) The medication may be working - sometimes, products make the problem appear worse before getting better, this happends with a lot of cosmetic products in the initial period that it rids the body of toxins, bacteria, dead skin and other impurities which worsen conditions like acne. Once the are ejectied from the body, it can begin to heal and repair skin damage (having cleared up your skin).

B) You may be having a reaction (allergic perhaps) - As you may not have taken such medication befores, you may not that your body is rejecting them or accepting them in the commonly expected way as with other users. Every body is different, dont worsen you sitaution in trying to get it better.

C) You are using three different medications! - Although this had been prescribed you may not need or know how they are working together in your body, combined with other factors like the bodies natural contents (hormones, adreneline) exercise, and nutritional intake, the result could be one that is been cause by something you are doing/taking or eatiing that you are unware of.

Do the rights thing and speak to you dermo, better to be safe than sorry.
I know this might sound weird but go tanning in a tanning bed. Don't use tanning lotion though. Something in the Uv rays dries out those areas and it goes away.. Maybe not completely but most of it will go away.
some medicines make you break out a lot in the beggining but then make miracles later :P

good luck!
