what do they do to help clear your face. do they wash it with some kind of solution, or just give you something to put on your face.

it depends. if its acne, most likely they will give you acne medication or creams.
they're awful; they either give you a steroid cream or prescribe antibiotics..both of which will leave your skin worse off
