Dermatologist prescribed clindamycin, how safe is this?

it is a cream to put on my face for acne, i only used benzoyl peroxide for my acne in the past, this new cream i have never heard of until now, how safe is clindamycin, do you use it?Dermatologist prescribed clindamycin, how safe is this?

from the name, im guessing that it is an antibiotic, antibiotics are good when you use them when you REALLY need them. if he said to use it until the problem goes away and discontinue using it, thats fine. but if you are supposed to use it forever..no. your body will only develop a resistance to it and it wont work anymore. and if you need them for anything more serious, other antibiotics might not work.
